"Take advantage of everything McNair has to offer. Use your resources, talk things out, travel, and embrace your title. There will be moments where there will be roadblocks in your research, but you have to keep going! Always ask questions and don't hold things off to the last minute. And understand that no matter your research, you're adding knowledge to the world and that, in it of itself, is extremely valuable. I've loved being a McNair scholar, it's one of my proudest accomplishments, and I hope you share the same sentiment."
